ShadowRocket Integration with Proxies
Shadowrocket is a tool that allows you to manage proxy servers for specific use cases. Additionally, NewIPnow proxies can be easily integrated with the Shadowrocket application. In this guide, we will show the step-by-step process on how to integrate our private proxies with Shadowrocket.
What is ShadowRocket
Shadowrocket is a proxy utility tool that allows secure and anonymous online browsing. The app captures HTTP, HTTPS, and TCP traffic from any application on your device and redirects it to a proxy. You can set up and group multiple proxies according to your location and session preferences.
Downloading ShadowRocket
To install Shadowrocket, simply go to the App Store and download the app to your iOS device.
If you’re using an Android device, you can find and download Shadowrocket from the Google Play Store. Note that Shadowrocket only supports SOCKS proxies for Android devices, while NewIPNow only offer HTTP and HTTPS proxies.
Shadowrocket Setup on your IOS Device
1. Add Server.
Open the application and Click on “Add Server”.
2. SPECIFY THE PROXY TYPE.
In the following window, click on Type.
Select “HTTP” from the protocol list.
3. ENTER THE PROXY INFORMATION.
Your proxy details are available in your NewIPNow dashboard.
Click “Save”.
Impotant Note: Before using the proxy for ShadowRocket, ensure that you have authorized your IP address in the control panel. Since we use IP Authorization, you can leave User and Password blank.
4. ENABLE THE PROXY.
Activate the toggle under Not Connected.
Click “Save”.
For first time users, you will get an iOS prompt to add Shadowrocket to your VPN configurations and then install the VPN profile. Click “Add” and then “OK”. You will need to enter your iPhone passcode to proceed.
